UTC eNews 201230 Week6 Session Break

Every blessing for the Easter Season: may the risen Christ be light in us and through us.

IN THE COMMUNITY: AWARDS
William Emilsen’s photographic exhibition of Goulburn Island (shown at the Centre last year) will be exhibited in the State Library of the Northern Territory Parliament in July/August this year. William was recently awarded a Northern Territory Government History Award for his work on Goulburn Island.  The church in action!

FACULTY
The members of the faculty are south of Perth the first week of the break, participating in the Uniting Church of Australia National Theological Educators Conference.

VISITORS
The faculty hosted the moderator of the New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory Synod, Rev Brian Brown, last week.  He led a discussion on the way the church, and the college, can take up the sense of ‘into new and risky paths.’  Amongst other things, there was a focus on the types of contributions a particular group like the College could make.

POSTPONED EVENT
Rhythms of Hope – which was planned to be held Friday evening 20th and Saturday 21st April at Strathfield Uniting Church, has been postponed. The new date will be advised once determined. Please pass this on to anyone who has expressed an interest in taking part.
