FROM THE ACADEMIC DESK: Gerard Moore
Welcome to the new semester.  I hope that your entry to the second semester has gone smoothly.

Unfortunately we are still awaiting the arrival of Dr Jeff Aernie, our new New Testament lecturer.  Hopefully his Visa should come through soon!  Thankfully Matt Wilson has agreed to teach THL106 until Jeff arrives.  Less fortunately our alternate lecturer for the Johannine literature subject herself fell ill just before semester began, so students in that class have had to opt of doing the subject by distance or choosing a different subject.  In all it makes us more keen for Jeff to arrive.  In the meantime, he is busy turning his doctoral dissertation into a book, writing a series of articles for various journals, and working on preparation for his classes next year.

Timetable wise, I hope to have a well developed draft of next year’s timetable for you by the end of July.
