UTC eNews 201360 Week 12

FROM THE ACADEMIC DEAN

A couple of things as the academic year comes to a close.

Please fill out the online subject evaluation through your Interact site.  The University takes these very seriously, and implements changes in light of them.  It is an opportunity to have your say about the quality of our teaching and your learning experience.  And the higher the response rate, the better we can take up the challenge of teaching effectively.

The end of year service is on this Friday at 7.30pm.  All welcome, with supper on afterwards.

ARTWORK

You will have noticed two new pieces of art are now hanging in the College.  The chapel is now graced with a bark painting by the Rev Gawarrin Gumana, from Gan Gan in Arnhemland in 1992.  It was presented to Chris Budden on the completion of his appointment as Secretary for Social Responsibility and Justice (1986-1992).

The dining space is watched over by a work from Frank Wesley: there is a book on his work in the library, and more information will follow in upcoming newsletters.

There will be a few more movements on the art front over the coming months!

SERVICE OF WORD & SACRAMENT / COMMUNITY LUNCH – a service will be held on Wednesday 16 October from 11.30pm followed by community lunch - all welcome.  This is the final Wednesday service for the year.
